Vietnam is known as the world's largest cashew nut exporter with 37 per cent share〔http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/industry_sectors/consumer_goods/article7071629.ece〕 of the global cashew market. It was reported that Vietnam earned US$232 million from exporting 45,000 tons of cashew nuts in the first four months of 2010.〔http://vietnambusiness.asia/vietnam-cashew-nut-export-18-8-to-us232m-in-jan-april/〕 However, with the onset of blood cashews in the market, countries are beginning to shun away from imports from Vietnam. == Definition == Blood Cashews refers to the production of cashew nuts under the harsh condition of forced labor camps, acting against the international law for Human Rights. In the latest Human Rights Watch (HRW) report,〔http://www.hrw.org/reports/2011/09/07/rehab-archipelago-0〕 it was reported that there has been an increase of such camps housing drug addicts to produce cashew nuts under brutal conditions.
